Located on the edge of a peaceful forest on the outskirts of Freiburg, this hostel features a breakfast buffet, table tennis facilities and a sun terrace. Römerhof tram stop is only 1 km away. Jugendherberge Freiburg offers simply decorated rooms featuring sturdy wooden furnishings. Each room includes locking cupboards, which can be used for a fee. A breakfast buffet is provided in the hostel’s bright and spacious breakfast room. Freiburg’s picturesque Old Town is 3.5 km from the hostel. Swimming opportunities can be found 1 km from the hostel, and guests can also enjoy use of the hostels volleyball and basketball courts. Freiburg Central Train Station is 5.5 km from Jugendherberge Freiburg. The hostel offers free private parking on site and the A5 motorway can be reached in 4.5 km. All guests must be members of the DJH (Deutsches Jugendherbergswerk) or Hostelling International. Membership can be purchased upon arrival at the reception. The membership costs EUR 7 per year for guests under 26 years and EUR 22.50 for families and persons from 27 years. From 1 June each year, you can buy the DJH membership for half price when you become a member for the first time. Non German guests must purchase a Hostelling International Card (EUR 18) if they are not a member of a national youth hostel association. For single overnight stays, a welcome stamp can be purchased upon arrival for EUR 3.50. Please note that for bookings for 6 people or more, different policies and additional supplements may apply.
