Content Policy

Operated by Hotelsrating LLC, Sharjah, UAE.

HotelsRating does not host traveler reviews or open comment threads. The user content on the service is: videos submitted by creators and hotels, materials attached to hotel claims, and a hotel's public response to its score breakdown. These rules govern all of it.

1. Standards for all submitted content

  • You must hold the rights to everything you upload, including music in videos.
  • Content must show the real property — no staged or misattributed footage.
  • No unlawful, hateful, or sexually explicit content; no personal data of third parties.
  • No undisclosed advertising: if a hotel paid for your video, that must be visible.

2. Property responses

A verified hotel may publish one public response to its score breakdown. Responses are limited to 600 characters, premoderated before publication, and must be factual and civil. A response can dispute data and point to evidence; it cannot contain offers, advertising, or attacks on individuals. Factual corrections with evidence are the separate, and only, path to changing the underlying data — see the Integrity Policy.

3. Moderation and removal

We review reported content and premoderate property responses. We remove content that violates these rules or the law, and repeated violations lead to account termination. We do not remove content for being unflattering: a truthful video showing a worn-out room stays up.

4. Reporting content

To report content that violates these rules or infringes your rights, write to [email protected] with a link to the content and the reason. Rights-holders should include proof of ownership; we respond to valid takedown requests promptly.
