The first true hotel rating
One transparent score per hotel, built from cross-source consensus, expert awards, and a trust graph of the world's best hotels. The formula is public.
A rating agency, not a media site
Rating agencies solved problems like these for bonds a century ago. Search engines solved them for web pages twenty-five years ago. Nobody has solved them for hotels, mostly because the companies big enough to do it make their money from the hotels being rated.
We built the HRI to fix that. We do not sell rooms, we do not host traveler reviews, and no hotel can pay for its score, medal, or position in any ranking. We publish the formula, the weights, the prestige table, the calibration anchors, and recompute every score nightly. Read the methodology →
Independent by design
Hotels cannot pay for their score. Ever. Paid products unlock management and analytics, never ranking.
Not a booking site
Booking links lead to partners; your contract for the stay is with them. Commissions never touch the formula.
Public formula
Component weights, prestige table and nightly calibration anchors are published and versioned.
Partnerships
HotelsRating is independent by design: the number of people who can influence a score is zero, and it stays there. Partnership sits outside that line, in data, distribution and the infrastructure behind the rating.
We're open to talking with companies scaling independent hotel inspection, platforms and AI assistants integrating the HRI through our API, and organizations licensing structured rating and facility data.
If that's you, get in touch.
