About this hotel

Heddons Gate Hotel is tucked away down a private drive on the east side of the beautiful Heddon Valley not far from the sea at Heddons Mouth. Most of the bedrooms have views of the garden and valley and face west or south-west to take full advantage of sunny afternoons. Immersed within over 2 acres of private gardens and woodlands, this country house hotel boasts a tranquil setting on the steep slopes of the magnificently wooded Heddon Valley. Heddon’s Gate Hotel boasts a relaxed and friendly atmosphere within comfortable and peaceful surroundings, complemented by superb views of the valley. All en-suite bedrooms are individually designed. Originally built as a hunting lodge in the 1890’s, Heddon’s Gate has been sympathetically extended over the decades. Disabled Access: Whilst the owners are keen to assist guests who have any kind of disability, Heddon’s Gate may not be suitable if you have limited mobility, because there are no ground-floor rooms. Mobile Phones: You will not be able to get a mobile phone signal at Heddons. A signal can be picked up within a short walk or drive from the hotel (all bedrooms have direct-dial telephones). Payment: Heddons Gate does not accept payment by American Express cards.
