About this hotel
The traditional, family-run Hotel Goldener Ochs offers a central location in the spa town of Bad Ischl, a large spa area, and free WiFi access. Some of the spacious rooms offer romantic views of the Traun River. Opened in 1791, the Goldener Ochs has hosted many famous personalities, including the composer Franz Léhar, who used to dine in the hotel restaurant “Léhar-Stuben”, which is famous for its classic cuisine. The spa area is flooded with light features classic and Ayurveda massages (at an additional cost), Kneipp baths, infrared seats, two saunas and a fitness studio, as well as Austria’s only salt graduator and a relaxation room with mountain views. The family-run Hotel situated at the river Traun in the city center blends tradition with individual, modern design and a contemporary holiday experience. The hotel features an exceptional bar and a spa area that includes an indoor pool and sunny gardens. Please note that half-board is a set menu and does not include á la carte dining at the hotels restaurant.
