Casa Dos Edras

Within International Douro Nature Park, Casa dos Edras is a restored country house in Aldeia Nova village, 5.5 km from Miranda do Douro. It offers free WiFi and a green lawn with seating areas. Preserving the original structure of the property, each room is individually decorated and features a private bathroom. They all include a flat-screen cable TV and garden views. A breakfast buffet is served daily and includes regional and home-made products. Partridge eggs are available seasonally. Other meals are prepared upon previous request. For a day out, Casa dos Edras can prepare a picnic basket. The old meets the new in the shared lounge area, with a contemporary fireplace and furniture combined with the exposed-stone doorways. Guests will find a selection of the village handicrafts on site, which guests can buy. There are free rental bicycles for guests’ use, and the natural setting offers bird-watching opportunities. The border with Spain is a 15-minute drive away from Casa dos Edras. Please inform Casa dos Edras in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties. A damage deposit of EUR 250 is required on arrival. This will be collected as a cash payment. You should be reimbursed on check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full in cash, subject to an inspection of the property. Please note that the a 50% deposit will be charged on credit card on the day of booking . The remaining amount will be charged in cash at check-in. Please note that dinners require a previous reservation of, at least, 12 hours and are served up to 21:00.
