About this hotel

With a dress circle location on Doha’s Corniche, The Ned Doha’s building is, to put it mildly, iconic.Formerly the Ministry of the Interior office, the 1970s brutalist building by renowned Lebanese architect William Sednaoui, was repurposed in a remarkable renovation in 2022 and now houses The Ned Doha’s 90 rooms and suites, seven restaurants, a members-only club, Ned's spa and impressive events spaces. It’s safe to say there is nothing like this hotel in Qatar and this is evident from your arrival, which takes you up a sweeping Hollywood-esque staircase, past the retro check-in desk and into the heart of the building. Every corner of the hotel, from the grand exteriors by David Chipperfield to glamorous, plush jewel-toned lobby seating to the midcentury modern guest rooms designed by Soho House, is a vintage visual feast. The hotel’s other attractions radiate from the soaring central atrium, which also plays host to a bandstand, where a jazz trio sets up shop nightly to entertain guests. The restaurants encompass everything from Italian classics at Cecconi’s and pan-Asian delicacies at Kaia to old-school burgers and hot dogs at Electric Diner to a full English breakfast at Millie’s Lounge. Paying homage to regional cuisine, the hotel features a range of Arabic dishes at its seasonal outdoor restaurant Hadika.
