The Long Hostel

The Long Hostel is the most modern, most popular and largest Hostel in Arugam Bay! The hostel has a 15.60 kWp solar system (see picture in gallery) which has been expanded with lithium batteries to store electricity. As such, we are the only "Green" property in Arugam Bay which provides always electricity during power outages without running a diesel generator. Its built in 2016 and offers accommodation for 42 guests. Air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned dorms or private rooms with attached bathrooms and budget dorms with fans and common bathrooms. All beds in the dorms have a locker for each guest for the security of luggage. The property has a coffee-shop offering European coffee, espresso, cappuccino and iced coffee. The hostel also offers breakfast, lunch. dinner, short dishes, drinking water, cool drinks and fruit juices. Laundry service is provided at this property. The bathrooms are all modern and cleaned daily. In the outdoor garden are hammocks, a few with a canopy. The hostel provides stands for surfboards to store them secure. For the security of the guests a CCTV system with recorder is equipped around the hostel. In the Lobby is a refrigerator for the food storage of our guests. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Free private parking is available on site. Certain units feature a seating area where you can relax.
