About this hotel
Sofitel Munich Bayerpost is a luxury hotel in Munich's city centre, housed in a restored 19th-century building that once served as the city's central post office. The property combines heritage architecture with contemporary Accor-group service standards. The hotel was repositioned in 2004 to create 335 rooms across multiple floors, maintaining period details alongside modern amenities. Its central location places guests within walking distance of Marienplatz, the English Garden, and major shopping districts. The property earned recognition from Forbes Travel Guide in 2026, marking it as a standout in Munich's luxury segment. The location works well for both leisure travellers seeking cultural access and business guests attending meetings near Munich's downtown core.
