After a seven-year closure following Hurricane Irma, Peter Island Resort reopened in 2024 with a quietly confident reintroduction. The 1,800-acre private island resort — the largest in the British Virgin Islands — now feels more thoughtfully composed, with nearly all 52 guest rooms relocated directly onto Deadman’s Beach, placing soft sand and calm turquoise water just steps from every terrace. The renovation reoriented the luxury resort’s center toward the shoreline, adding a Yacht Club at the marina that accommodates superyachts up to 200 feet. Deadman's Beach serves as the resort’s social hub, where you'll find a pool, a casual grill, a boutique and courts for pickleball, bocce and basketball.
