Designed by well-regarded New York duo George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg of Yabu Pushelberg, the hotel has been envisioned to reflect a contemporary Jiangnan-style residence, inspired by its historic surroundings. Upon entry, you’re greeted by the beautiful, gray-veined marble lobby — a bit of fanciful foreshadowing for the elegant experience ahead — before walking through a narrow passageway to find yourself in one of the earth-toned elevators that whisks you up to your room.
