About this hotel

Who knew a luxury hotel in one of Asia's most dynamic metropolises could pull off small-town virtues? Lucky for its guests, Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong prides itself on a tradition of longstanding service (it opened in 1963), so visitors may find themselves greeted today by the staff member who welcomed them 10 years ago. Likewise, the dining options are as classic as ever. The Krug Room is still one of the city's most exclusive private dining venues, and Man Wah is a beautiful dining space that has been serving exquisite Cantonese fare since 1968. But that doesn't mean that the Hong Kong hotel is dated: The property boasts everything from an ultra-stylish 3,143-square-foot Mandarin suite down to details like Diptyque toiletries in the bathrooms. It also recently added The Mandarin Club, a new club lounge on the 23rd floor, and The Aubrey, a Japanese izakaya bar. Almost as famous as the hotel itself, Captain’s Bar is a city institution. Popular with both guests and locals alike, it has been one of Hong Kong’s favorite after-work watering holes for decades. For some pampering, The Mandarin Spa delivers some of the most over-the-top indulgent treatments found anywhere. If you can't find what you need inside the hotel, ask the director of concierge and guest experience Indira Pun, the world's closest thing to Google on legs.
