Locanda del Pilone offers spectacular panoramic views of the Langhe countryside from its hilltop location just 5 km from the pretty Piedmont town of Alba. Surrounded by the vineyards which produce the area’s famous Barolo wine, Locanda del Pilone is a restored farmhouse. Inside this traditional stone building you will find typical local décor including antique Piedmont furniture and vaulted ceilings, as well as modern facilities such as free WiFi access. The lounge, with its large open fireplace, offers stunning views – from here you can see all the way to the Alps as well as all the pretty towns nearby. Locanda del Pilone’s renowned restaurant is housed in the oldest part of the building. Enjoy the beautiful views from here as well, while you taste any of a wide variety of traditional local dishes. Accompany your delicious meals here with some of the great wines produced locally. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that the restaurant is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. In October and November it is only closed on Tuesday. A surcharge of 50 euro per room applies for arrivals after check-in hours.
