About this hotel

Though Edgewood Tahoe didn’t open until June 2017, its alpine address had been a popular destination for golf lovers, soon-to-be-wed couples and diners long before. Through a beloved George Fazio-designed course (that his nephew, Tom, later renovated) and delightful event spaces that debuted in 1968, Edgewood became a must-visit venue along Lake Tahoe’s south shore. And with the $100 million expansion, the draw of the meticulously cut greens and awe-inspiring greenery (the property is surrounded by majestic pines) has only heightened. The 154-room hotel exudes a lakefront charm without any of the pretense. Rustic wood panel art in the cathedral-ceilinged lobby comes from an old picket fence. You’ll be so wrapped up in the Bistro’s warm, amicable air that you might not even notice that the kitchen works with a non-GMO philosophy. And yes, that really was Tony Romo you just passed in the hall. But ever since the 235-acre Edgewood Tahoe opened its doors in the ’60s, its only goal has been to make all guests — it doesn’t matter if you’re a famous ex-Dallas Cowboys quarterback or a family visiting from Detroit — feel welcomed.
